History and Present Condition
Gezina Sewing Machines cc started its humble beginnings in 1993 with reconditioning and selling
second-hand domestic and industrial sewing machines. The demand for the servicing of domestic and industrial machines in the industry necessitated the appointment of the first full-time apprentice technician in 2000.
In keeping up with changes in the industry, a new division was created when embroidery machines were launched into the market and Gezina Sewing Machines cc became a Brother dealer in 2002. Due to a high demand for spares, consumables and accessories we invested in a stock control system in 2007. With this we have more information and control of stock items that resulted in a more efficient and smooth chain of supply. With sales escalating operational training and workshop support became part of the daily services
rendered. Training of customers did not only consist of demonstrating the products but rather informing clients of the technical aspects pertaining to the use of the machines within the operational restrictions
in terms of the specifications. Training provided resulted in the decrease of comebacks and frustrated customers.
Gezina Sewing Machines like any other business had to reconstruct and consolidate operations with the economic climate that COVID 19 has brought forth in 2020. The 1 st of December 2020 Gezina Sewing moved to smaller and more assessable premises.
